Please contact the board of directors for meeting schedules.
The purpose of the ARB is to protect our members’ investment and peace of mind. This is done by first reviewing homeowners’ additions & alterations to their homes & property to make sure they fall within the guidelines of the Green Valley West Homeowners’ Association Covenants & Bylaws. Secondly the ARB, along with the Code Compliance Committee, must enforce those covenants & bylaws.
Some of the types of things you need to receive approval from ARB are:
Significant changes to landscaping, such as the removal of trees, removal of more than 20% of your sod, the removal and/or addition of hedges or similar landscaping work.
Any paving or concrete work.
Swimming pool installation
Pool enclosures or screened rooms.
Screened entryways, garage screens or screen doors.
Decks.
Fences.
Walls.
Painting your residence.
To receive approval for a project:
Submit an Application for Improvement to the ARB. This form is available below or from any Green Valley West Homeowners’ Board member.
Send the completed application to the ARB at the address noted on the form.
Note: Applications need to be received by the ARB two weeks before a meeting. The ARB meets approximately every two weeks. Meeting times & locations will be posted at the pool and on the website seven days before each meeting.
All requests will be approved or denied in writing.
Homeowners can appeal an ARB decision to the Board of Directors if they wish.
Please remember you must receive approval from the ARB before beginning any type of work described above or in the Covenants & Bylaws. Failure to do so may require you to modify your project or return your property to its original condition. Acquiring your building permit from the City of Groveland does not mean you have ARB approval.
If you’re not sure if your project needs approval please contact the ARB and ask. It is better to check and make sure you’re in the clear than have to modify or remove your work.
The ARB is made up of Green Valley West Homeowners’ Association Board Members and fellow homeowners. If you would like to serve on this board, please contact the ARB Chairman. The ARB is here to help maintain the beauty & safety of our community and the investment in our homes. Please help us by following our covenants & bylaws. Volunteers are always welcome to help the ARB or any one of the other Committees in Green Valley West.
Thank you.
